The Island Job Board

Built by Recruiters. Built for the Island.

Two Island recruiters who got tired of watching the local job market fall behind, and decided to build something better.

Why We Built This

Adam and Ryan first met while working together in legal recruitment on the Isle of Wight, where they quickly became best friends as well as colleagues.

Over the years, they worked side-by-side across the UK legal recruitment market, helping solicitors and professional staff secure opportunities at leading law firms while building long term relationships with firms across the country.

As their careers developed, both moved deeper into business development, recruitment strategy, and market expansion. Adam continued building his reputation in UK legal recruitment, while Ryan established and grew an international legal recruitment desk focused on Saudi Arabia.

But despite working internationally and across high level professional markets, one thing kept standing out:

The Isle of Wight job market was falling behind.

Local businesses struggled to attract talent. Candidates often felt ignored or unsupported. Existing job boards felt outdated, impersonal, and disconnected from how modern recruitment actually works.

As two people from the Island, they saw the problem first-hand, they understood the businesses, the people, and saw talent rapidly leaving the Island for better opportunities elsewhere.

So they decided to build something better.

The Island Job Board was created to raise the standard of recruitment locally, combining modern technology with real recruitment experience and a genuinely human approach.

Not just another listing website.

A platform built properly, by people who actually understand hiring.

What We Stand For

Quality Over Volume

Every job advert is reviewed by our team before it goes live. We'd rather have 20 great listings than 200 mediocre ones.

Human First

Recruitment is about people, not algorithms. We bring real recruitment experience to every employer and every candidate interaction.

Built for the Island

This isn't a national platform pretending to care about local recruitment. The Island Job Board exists solely to support Isle of Wight businesses and job seekers.
