Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to anyone using The Island Job Board ("we", "us", the "Site"), whether browsing jobs, registering as a candidate, or posting a vacancy as an employer. By using the Site you agree to them.

2. Who we are

The Island Job Board is operated from the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. For any questions about these terms, contact hello@theislandjobboard.co.uk.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account and for any activity that takes place under it. You must give accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.

4. Employer listings (£89)

Posting a job costs £89 per listing. Each listing is moderated before going live and stays live for 30 days. We may refuse, remove, or request changes to any listing that does not meet our Posting Guidelines. Payments are non-refundable once a listing has been approved and published.

5. Candidate applications

When you apply for a role, the details you submit (including your CV) are shared with the employer of that listing. We do not share your details with any other party without your consent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site for unlawful or abusive purposes, to post discriminatory content, to scrape candidate or employer data, or to misrepresent yourself or your business.

7. Our role

The Island Job Board is a platform that connects employers and candidates. We are not the employer for any role listed and we are not party to any employment relationship that results from a listing.

8. Liability

The Site is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that any listing will result in a hire, or any application in an offer. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to any user is limited to the amount that user has paid us in the previous 12 months.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
